Welcome to Plant Food Summit 2025
An EU Presidency conference
Organised as part of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU, the summit will serve as a key platform to learn, taste and experience how Denmark is incorporating plant-based initiatives as part of the development of a future-proof food system.
At the summit delegates will be:
Networking with stakeholders from all of Europe’s food system
Engaged in insightful talks and debates, e.g. between internationally
renowned stakeholdersGoing on excursions to pioneering Danish stakeholders working with
production and consumption of plant foodsIndulging in plant-based culinary experiences
The summit is organized around three main themes to cover the agenda and help delegates take part in topics that match their expertise or interests:
Connecting countryside & cities
How can we build alliances across interests and value chains?
Innovating crops & products
What shapes the future fields and foods of Europe?
Engaging professionals and cities
Which green skills and mindsets will form the European food system?
Following up on new insights
After the summit, participants are offered exclusive follow-up meetings in their respective home countries as part of the project Danish Plant-Based Diplomacy. This entails sparring wtih a Danish delegation of influential partners that can share valuable experiences, foster collaboration between stakeholders and assist in capacity-building policy work.
